Goal results: September 9, 2011

Standard

It’s 9 am, and I have already gotten my walk in!  Which, in a way, does not feel like a huge accomplishment: it’s been true of every day this week.  But today is special for several reasons:

  1. This marks Day 7 of exercise for me.  That’s 7 days in a row.  It’s hard for me to express what a huge accomplishment this is for me.  It’s like saying Lindsay Lohan had been clean for 7 days.
  2. I went out with some friends last night and had Mexican food and awesome margaritas.  At a place that has a three margarita limit.  Which I apparently viewed as a personal challenge.  Also a personal challenge?  Peeling myself out of bed when the alarm went off this morning.
  3. I tried a new route this morning, and it ended up being about .2 mile longer than my previous walks.
  4. Said route also included a rather large hill that I hadn’t anticipated; it’s fairly short but quite steep.  It was really, really hard, and I was WAY out of breath by the top, but I made it. I didn’t turn around and find another route when it got tough.  And a year ago, I really think I would’ve had to stop 2 or 3 times along the way.

Did you accomplish your goal(s) for the day?  Please share in the comments!
