Goal results: September 10 and 11, 2011

OK, so I did NOT walk this weekend.  On the one hand, I don’t feel too bad about that.  7 days straight is a pretty fine accomplishment, and I don’t believe that I need to exercise every, single day.  Maybe at some point, but right now, I’d end up burning out.  On the other, I don’t have a great excuse.  We were pretty busy yesterday, but I’m sure I could’ve found time if I tried.  I just didn’t try.  Although I will say this – my legs still hurt a little bit today from that hill on Friday!  I think on some level, that was part of the reason I avoided walking, even though I know that once I got going, I would’ve been fine.

One important lesson I did take from this weekend is this: I really need to exercise first thing.  If I’m not out the door within a half hour or so of waking up, the chances of my actually going diminish greatly.  Especially if it’s going to get hot at all – when I saw that it was 81 today, I immediately decided it was too hot to go.  In reality, that’s really not that hot, but I just LOVE walking in the 50s and 60s.

So I didn’t actually accomplish my goals for this weekend.  No sense dwelling on it, though – back to it tomorrow!
