I got my walk in again this morning. I mapped out a slightly longer route since the basic loop to school and back home is really only about .85 miles. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a way for me to add distance without adding a big hill! The hill on today’s walk wasn’t quite as steep as Friday’s, but it was longer.
Because of the hill, my overall pace was a little slower today than yesterday (especially since Gus ran into a friend on the way to school, and they slowed way down to chat), but the intensity was about the same. In fact, since I also walked about .2 mi further, according to RunKeeper, I burned 150 calories today as opposed to 116 yesterday.
And to top it all off, I also got to break in my new workout clothes! Definitely a good start to my day. 🙂
